Our Services

The programs at The Nursery Foundation of St. Louis' learning center, provide quality and affordable care and early childhood education for children ages 12 months through five years. Our staff has been carefully chosen to provide children with the best early childhood education/care program in the area. Many of our teachers are degreed or are seeking their degrees in early childhood education. Most have several years of experience teaching young children, and our staff continually furthers their own learning experiences by attending education programs and training seminars offered by a variety of sources. Each staff member of The Nursery Foundation has passed a Child Abuse/Neglect Screening by the Missouri Division of Family Services.

We also partner with the YWCA to offer Head Start funding for some of the children enrolled in our center. This partnership offers an alternate funding source for families unable to afford our regular sliding fee scale. Children that receive funding through Head Start receive the same high quality pre-school education as the other children enrolled in our programs, as well as other family resources.

All pre-school classrooms at The Nursery Foundation utilize the Creative Curriculum, a research based curriculum that offers teachers the guidance, support, and freedom to be creative and responsive to children. Because children learn from their daily interactions with the environment, a carefully organized and rich environment is the foundation for The Nursery Foundation's pre-school program. Our curriculum uses a variety of materials to enhance learning and teaching. By focusing on the developmental progress of each child, the Creative Curriculum offers an ideal setting for all children, including those with special needs. By focusing on both the teacher and the child, the curriculum provides a blueprint for developing an educational setting in which young children can thrive. Applications for enrollment are accepted without regard to race, religion, sex, or national origin.
